Open Question: Would like your opinion on my character names please! (a tad long.)?
hello yahoo answerers. i would like your advice. i’m writing a novel for fun, and i want to know if you could actually see these names on real people or not. i would also like to know if you think the names fit the character and also if you like them. oh, and suggestions are appreciated! each name is open for discussion except for the first two main characters first names. i dont feel comfortable putting my plot on here, sorry. this is kind of my baby. but you should still be able to help adequately. please and thank you! i will try to keep it short and sweet with the descriptions (main character) F: Elliott Davenport/Lennox/Martin (cant decide) 16 ……..she’s kind of hot headed, and sarcastic but very book smart and street smart. that makes her kind of an outcast in the small town she lives in. black hair, gray eyes. (main character) M: Hunter White 17 ………elliott’s love interest. he’s like a regular kid, but because he plays sports and stuff he’s super popular in their small town. (main character) M: Jonah Montgomery 16 (he’s a pessimist, and he’s more book smart. he and elliott get along swimmingly. lol) elliott’s best friend (main character) F: Tannis Lionakis 16 (veeeery eccentric. she’s a wiccan.) i love her name but im not sure if people will pronounce it right. it’s like a hermione situation. she’s like a walking useless facts database. elliott’s other best friend Elliott’s family: father: Christopher. he’s a nightclub owner. dies mother: Aimee Tierney? (she’s irish, and also has a twin sister) stewardess. dies. aunt: Aislinn Tierney? (elliott’s mom’s twin) sweet. 50’s mother type. stay at home mom uncle: Ivan Smirnov/Aleksandrov. he’s actually russian. the way he and his wife meet is explained. he;s not super mean, but he is very strict. firefighter cousins: Paolo 16 (he’s a douche 100%), Liliya 5 (energetic, sweet, little kid but she is sick), Kyle 10 (paranoid, shy) and that’s all folks. for now. sorry it was so long. any answers will be greatly appreciated, and rude answers will be dealt with accordingly. EDIT EDIT EDIT! to answer your questions guys: her mother’s last name is going to be hyphenated, i just didnt know what i was going to name their father yet. the same goes for her uncle and aunt. i just wanted to make sure i had maiden names, just in case. and i WILL add a jewish character! i want it to be multicultural. any suggestions? also, Tannis’ name is pronounced like Janice. like the model janice dickenson. her back story is that her dad is greek, obviously, and her mother is egyptian. they met in egypt and that is the only name that they could agree on. she’s modeled after my friend who is both greek and egyptian. i like the nickname idea. also, i wanted some traditional irish names, but i wanted them to start with the same letters as well for the mother and aunt. suggestions are WONDERFUL! oh, and thank you guys for the answers so far! ONE MORE THING! lol. sorry guys elliott is originally from new york, but her parents die in a plane crash and she has to move with her aunt and uncle. so sorry if her name seems weird. it really isnt a small town name. MORE EDITS! yeah, the cousins will all have the last name of the uncle. i tried to find names that were either irish, or russian, or an adaptation. but i see what you are saying about Paolo! lol. i looked it ip, and it said russian, but it does kind of remind me of pablo. lol oh and her father is just a regular old american guy. he’s of english ancestry, but he’s never lived over there, or doesnt have an accent. her mother doesnt have an accent either. but her aunt does, and her uncle does. they just moved over to america within the last year.

Open Question: What does a 12 year old girl want for Christmas?
I am sort of a tom boy but not that much. I play sports occasionally but I’m not on any teams. I don’t need any more make up or hair things. I have already asked for the Justin Bieber Album and a bunch of gift cards for AE and Hollister and stuff so I don’t need that. I have a wii and have already asked for a DS and an iTouch. I have a cell phone and have already asked for a cover for it. I also have all of the Twilight Saga books in hard back so I don’t need that. I’m not a huge fan of Twilight so I dont want any necklaces or anything. Do you have any other ideas?
